They have been close since elementary school and have always stuck by each other's side, even in high school when Honobono was around. Doppo is extremely protective of Hifumi and always prioritieses him, even if Doppo thinks he can be annoying at times.
Doppo always would check in on Hifumi after they left high school as Hifumi was struggling with his trauma after Honobono, developing depression as well as a fear of women. Doppo helped Hifumi get a job, so they started to work together. But when they were 22, Doppo got fired from his job for defending Hifumi from his boss' words and mistreatment. After this incident, they moved in together to an apartment in Shinjuku.
In present day canon, Doppo introduces Hifumi to Jakurai, which leads to the formation of Matenrou. Doppo thinks Hifumi can be annoying and troublesome, but still keeps him close to his heart, and he appreciates the way Hifumi takes care of him by doing things for him, such as cooking and cleaning around the house. However, he sometimes gets embarassed because of Hifumi's actions and apologizes on behalf of him for things such as his bluntness and host mode. Doppo frequently defends Hifumi, especially when other people make remarks about his personality.

Doppo and Jakurai met each other through Doppo's company as it provides medical devices for Shinjuku Central Hospital. Jakurai takes care of Doppo's mental health, being worried about Doppo's self-deprecation. Doppo introduces Jakurai to Hifumi in the first place, which leads to the formation of Matenrou.
Even as teammates, Doppo treats Jakurai with upmost respect and looks up to him. Jakurai is able to give Doppo advice when he's feeling down about his life which makes him feel better. Jakurai respects Doppo as well and thinks he's a very interesting and strong person and sees him as a good friend. Doppo was very surprised to learn about Jakurai's behavior when he's drunk, saying he would never want to go out drinking with him again after an incident

Jyuto Iruma: Doppo was interrogated by Jyuto two years before the H-age for unknown reasons. They met again at the Chuuoku gates before the first Division Rap Battle, where they greet eachother. They go up against one another in the final battle. Doppo will still call Jyuto a dirty cop, despite being intimidated by him.

Who Is Doppo Kannonzaka?
Doppo Kannonzaka is a sales representative at 'E.L. Medical Co., Ltd' (medical equipment manufacturer) as well as the third member of Matenrou!
Heโs a pessimist and thinks about everything in a negative light, so he considers Hifumi Izanami his only friend as they've been close eince elementary school.
Doppo has a meek and anxious personality, but is a kind-hearted person. He speaks in a polite tone of voice and remains formal and tense, often seen as a pushover by many and having a difficult time standing up for himself. Due to Doppoโs several mental disorders, Doppo tends to have a habit of over-apologizing for all his actions that could annoy someone else, even when itโs not his fault. However, when Doppo gets extremely angry (usually after being pushed around too much, he can come off as violent and agressive. Doppo tries not to stand out too much and is quite socially awkward. His harsh and abusive work environment has played a big part in his personality.
